I am new to this site which was recommended by a friend.

I am an Icon share holder I am aware of the Baldwin board grab and I am amazed some of you support this madness.

I was involved in mineral exploration in the 70's and I'm fully aware of the problems that can occur when you need to drill, it just never runs smoothly, and it never runs to plan.

The slary thing has really captured the imagination of all you arm chair experts but I can assure you everything that happens in exploration costs millions so cutting a few bucks from a salary is petty cash and in any case RJ is a geo and you can't get a good one for under $300K so you have got to look at it as a 2 for 1 salary.

And since most of you think this Icon board are so hopeless how do you think these areas came into the control of Icon? who do you think selected them and negotiated the deals to procure them?

Without the current board you would have nothing to look forward too.

And why would you even think to put Icon under the control of a trio of "profesional managers" - an exploration company needs to be under the control of some one with expertice in mining not a bunch of shop keepers.

And if the Stanwell deal is so laim where is Baldwin getting the readies to prove the gas field is commercial in the reserves you all chat about?

The current Icon board got it this far and I for one think they should be left to complete this field then move on to one of the other fields that may even be better.

I do agree that Icon need to employ the services of experts for the next stages and I would think this would have crossed their minds and may even be done but I do not see any reason to replace the board, with what ever the Bladwin crew are meant to represent.
