Good to hear from you again.

I havnt looked at SDI for a long time. I was originally alerted to it by Madcow but could never make a decent entry because volumes were so thin. Maybe I should take another look.

The currency conversions that I have for the payments to SSI total around $A1m. A significant amount of money but not a significant amount of the companies cash of around $7m. The up front payment is actually less than $200k with the remainder paid as performance targets are met. Cash is not going to be a problem for the company. The Directors stated that we are on schedule to meet the target of profitability by end 2003. (We can only assume that because of the relatively low overheads and the high margins that we will become cashflow positive around a similar time frame)

As for timing, I only have the information that is already in the public domain. At the AGM the company stated that they would commence FDA approval in about a year and could possibly expect sales of Mk2 as soon as 2 years.

At the AGM the company went to lengths to explain that, whilst Mk2 is an exciting product with a great future, current efforts are being applied to the existing plans to market Mk1 into the market that it was designed and packaged for - US institutions. Sales have commenced and I am looking forward to seeing the sales increase over the next few months to the point of "significant sales" early next year as stated by Mr. Pitcher.

All in all, it is coming together quite satisfactorily (imho, of course).
