    Hi gadup,

    Assuming you follow the practice of filling in election ballot papers rather than leaving them blank, you also voted Labor, albeit in order of preference.

    Whenever a person completes a ballot paper according to the preferential voting system, they consent to every candidate being their preferred choice, albeit in a certain order.

    The successful candidate will always be their preferred choice, but not necessarily their first choice.

    No matter which candidate wins, they will always get the one they voted for, and so, in having voted for every one of them, they surrender the right to complain of any of them.

    But those that leave their ballot papers blank may complain of all of them, for they voted for none of them.

    Think on these things.
