I agree with some of your sentiments esp single mother pension and even family allowances, wouldn't it be better to take child allowances away from families and then give them back in the form of lower tax rates? Creates distortions.
I would like to see taxes spent better in the form of education esp tertiary, R&D, innovation. We need to value add, we have resources but they are not infinite.
