i have $10k. what should i invest in?

Hi,

I have $10K (play money for some) and my investments have been in the past medium to high risk. I'm looking for 20% return.
I am not all that interested in blue chips but companies who claim to be up and comers.

The market has changed dramatically in a year and I'm not investing the in the right companies anymore. Resource companies have been a favourite of mine.

I will take anyone tips or suggestion as non professional investment advice and will consider the investment with care.
