Tesla buy batteries from Panasonic/Japan not from China. US built cars carry Chinese parts, the Ford Mustang transmission is made in China. They are really putting a tax on themselves.
I think intellectual property rights is the main issue. If China cracks down on that issue, it will go away.
IMO this argy bargy will be used as a manipulation tool on the markets for the next 3 months, to push up as well as down.
