The Turnbulls’ dream to make western Sydney as liveable as the east
Lucy and Malcolm Turnbull have a dream for western Sydney: for it to be more like the densely populated, pedestrian-friendly terrain ofSydney’s inner city and eastern suburbs.
Asked what major improvements she would like to see in rapidly growing western Sydney, Lucy Turnbull told the Herald: “We’ve got to shift the way we conceptualise suburbia to be more climate change-resistant, more human friendly, more walkable, more cyclable, more medium density.
“If you think about, say, terrace houses in Paddington and Glebe, they were conceived and built long before there were planning regulations, but they are some of the most attractive, valuable property in Australia.

The Turnbulls took time out from the usual Paddington cocktails and canapes at 6pm to unburden themselves.
Just when will those hordes in Sydney's western suburbs mend their ways. They breed like rabbits and their snotty nosed kids make the whole place look untidy. The live in what can only be described as Lego™ land. Most of their leisure is spent drinking beer and getting arrested. Are they a lost cause?
