Devaluing the American Dollar is exactly how the Great Depression ended but it was then tied to Gold.

This time the Yuan will devalue the dollar after the Chinese spend the $US on Capital Expenditure, in a similar way to the way the French repatriated the German Mark back to Germany after WWI after receiving it as repatriations. The end result is that the currency had to be linked to hard core assets (real estate). The Chinese in my opinion will demand hard core assets from the Americans.
