    sounds like a good idea.
There does seem to be a much simpler proposal that is quite a bit less complicated.

It is multistage and based on very simple ideas. These are essential characteristics of all sucessful plans.

The order of some steps can be changed to some extent and there are of course the normal standards for public safety that must be adherred to.
This plan does not mandate, as many recent plan of the last years or so have, a suspension of common sense and rational thought and an entry into some sort of twilight zone of self-delusion where magical thinking can somehow seem to make sense.

    Proposed steps:

1/ immediate drop of all taxes, including GST, on all forms of energy, from basic generation to use by the final customer, and of course, a drop in all regulations about the pricing of energy except those that might keep energy sources of all forms available for immediate sale.

2/ immediate substantial funding and tax credits, and expansion of these incentives in cases they currently exist, for any and all research, development, expansion, shipping, delivery etc. of any and all energy sources and supplies. These can be existing sources or can be new sources

3/ Immediate suspension of all patents that currently apply or have been applied for, regarding to the research, development, expansion, shipping, delivery of any and all energy sources and supplies

4/ Immediate upgrade and expansion of all existing nuclear power facilities for commercial power production and integration into the grid. Of course this will be accompanied by as fast as possible, expansion of the number of nuclear power plants.

5/ massive job training/skills upgrade program to supply workers engineers etc to support this program.

I am sure there are many greenie/global warming cultists that can find some objection to elements of this program, for example that it does not include specifically wind, solar, earthworms, raindrops etc. These are included in the "all and any" and will attract investment money based on their common sense and profitability in the free market.

In the case of the really rabid and totally duped global warming cool-aid drinker, that might shreik hysterically that are worried about some thing to do with carbon emissions, these few deluded ones can ensure that they actively and strictly support their choice of energy source and distribution with their purchases and any donations they might decide.
