thank everyone for your kind advice....hoping for an alternative to the major operation ..as it is an ill defined mass noted with adjacent mandibular body lingual cortical bony margin iregularity.....proposed op 8 hrs a team of 5 doctors is horrific.....I want to meet people who have had the op & see their scars & how long they have to live ..my symptoms were in Feb a awoke with a difficulty to swallow swollen tongue masses of mucus..the local doctor treated me with antibiotics that took 5 days to cure...recently while overseas reoccurance 2days on ant.....on returning I still had a numb tongue.asked to be referred to a ear nose throat specialist as the apt would be end sept we had scans done next day..results lump 20x20x30mm plus prominent lymph nodes largest 11x9mm...he saw me the next day 9.00....and here I am .. the op sceduled for 16th sept
