Similar thing happened to me one afternoon at Mnt. Martha, one minute everything was calm & serene.... next thing you know water level drops by about 2 meters, and your just staring to see if your eyes are playing tricks on you, then all of a sudden a surge in water..........BOOOOOM!
All I could think of was "Tsunami". Wasn't in a dangerous position but it scared the hell out of my sons & I.... Also being a part of the bay I couldn't believe such a thing could happen.
My conclusion was to never underestimate the bay let alone the ocean, a bit like the stock market........
T4p, you're very lucky to have some snaps of your brush with mother nature, also lucky your still with us.........
