Everyone is entitled to call me Daniel - this really isn’t something that is too important.
About the only time it has ever helped me being a called Dr was when I was catching a flight from London to Miami and was running late and stuck on the other side of Heathrow. I didn’t have luggage (just carry on) so I knew the plane would take off if I wasn’t at the gate on time. The crew held the plane up for me for five minutes (while I ran as fast as I could) purely because I was "Dr Tillett”.
