If BPT were against it I would have thought to have heard something by now. I am sure that BPT would have been sounded out beforehand. Not to mention they will become a major shareholder in the new entity.

On one hand you say it's DLS act of desperation and on the the other you say they had easily manageable debt so to that end something doesn't quite add up in your post.

From my point of view and I agree with DW on this the new entity will be larger and more attractive to investors. Plus the number of tenements available has been significantly increased. Overall a good thing.
