Yes, I have rang the company regarding the confusion about the two different closing dates (26th of June and 13th of July), dates for the capital raising applicable to retail shareholders, and to find out where the share purchase plan applications for entitlements are.
The response I received, is a follows:
1) The share purchase plan entitlements forms have been posted out yesterday, and we should start receiving them shortly.
2) There are two closing dates (as we all know) for the applications to be in. One on the 26th of June and one on the 13th of July.
A) The first closing date (26th) only apply to and for retail people/investors, who wants to have their shares under the entitlement issued on the same date as the financial institutions. (I belive it is on the first of July, or thereabout).
B) The second closing date (13th of July), is for the ones who are not concerned as to when they will get their entitlement shares issued, but that they will be issued along with all the others to be around the 21st or 23rd of July.
There is no difference in the treatment for the SPP as to which date one will choose to pay for the entitlement, and no one will miss out on their entitlement. Only the issue date of the shares will be different.
As to the case whereby one wants to apply for extra shares, I have been assured that we are all going to be treated in the same way in the case of a scale back.
IMHO, It may benefit the short term investors/trader to get their entitlement in early, but for the long term investor, it shouldn't matter.
So, IMHO, if you are in for the long term, and I will do that, I will wait for the later date and don't rush into anyhting.
