SilentO - Thank you for your reply, and the link. I mistakenly thought that they were using the symbol, Fe, as a generic term for magnetite. Thus if they said 80% Fe they meant 80% magnetite and 20% crud.
So back to the link and Karara concentrate spec, Karara concentrate is 68.2% Fe. Presumably, this means that to increase the percentage Fe to mamimum, ie to 72.36% in accordance with the formula Fe3O4, we would have to remove all impurities and end up with pure magnetite concentrate.
