Well done GF, that's the post we needed. Now a while ago a couple of posters proposed that we have a post free day in protest of this intrusive new banner ad on the bottom of our screens but we were not sure how to push the message out. Although we all realise that ads are needed to pay for HC this new banner ad in addition to all the other ads is just going too far.
Now that you have climbed onto the podium with your very imaginative post I can reannounce that the proposal is to have a post free day on Saturday, November 6th. Now one whole day without posting maybe just impossible for some so maybe just one postless hour would be more palatable. Please make a suggestion.
We definitely need some way of showing our displeasure about this new banner ad and the HC hierarchy do not seem to be taking any notice of our protests on the feedback threads (or if they are taking some notice they are not doing anything about it and just hoping we will become used to yet another new ad). If everyone gets behind a post free day (or hour) that should be enough to make them realise that this new ad is a BAD IDEA.
