You can get sleeping tablets over the counter at the chemist....if you are having trouble sleeping for whatever reason it is very common for a doctor to prescibe sleeping tablets.

I had trouble sleeping for a while after my second child was born and my doctor prescribed me Temazapam. I was reluctant at first to take them but they were excellent in taking the edge off and helped me being able to relax at night. He also gave me 20 repeats....probably not norm but he knew me well...In my mothers group at the time we were all prescribed sleeping tables and even the Doctors sister was on them...

The 2 hours sleep you get is not much and you must be exhausted.
