If they come through with miracle extraction method, it will take more years to build at scale then they would like, in the meantime he will be signing offtake, where available. Key is availability, as the competition is now getting in their way. I suppose they could start stockpiling salt, just incase the project is proven. However, not going to throw 5 to 600 mill at a mine build, until permits, exploration, drills done the drilling, understand the consistency of deposit, build pilot and qualify material, DFS, FID, build, commission, ramp.
Though, if they want to tighten supply chain, maintain lowest carbon footprint, etc, they will need to do all the above in each country they operate in........ Seems a bit out there IMO
