I'd come back with a few places that I really liked - to find that they were, hmmmm - a tad more than I expected in price.

However, I went on the net a couple of days ago and had a longer look about - and, discovered some what appear to be really nice places (I have more interest in outlook, than the building etc).

I also found that in Les Houches (which I still can't pronounce) - that the prices and choices of what I like decrease and increase respectively - and, I hadn't realised that the boundary of Les Houches was pretty much exactly where I stayed when there - so, it wasn't far out at all.
Everything was well within walking distance for me - and, the next time I go back - I'll have two wheels with me - which will make the distances very very doable

after I become old and decrepit and require a full time carer with the large breasts and long legs and need to go by car - well, it won't matter anyway - a kilometre here or there is of no consequence.
Biggest known unknown for me is to watch out for avalanches and find out what the hell a property in a 'prescribed avalanche area means'

When I was there - a few places I looked up and thought ---'geeus, I don't know about this kind of stuff - but, that bit looks pretty bloody dangerous'

arrh well - a new thing in life I guess

If you get frostbite apparently you do not need to worry about pretty toe nails
so don't wear your thongs in the snow

Make sure you visit your future chalet after 3 pm in winter
some places can get very cold in the early afternoon if the sun disappears early behind some tall mountain you love looking at
