Why do they do this stuff? What does it gain at the end of the day? I have never understood the purpose.
Why do they bother typing the sell orders and buy orders for such piddly amounts at opposite ends of the scale?
Same before opening on most stocks.
Appreciate an explanation from someone who knows.
