No bluntaxe. You don't have to be a member, and you can still nominate them as your proxy.
Don't forget though, as Lilac said, that you have to write the full name of the association. Not ASA, nor any other Abbreviations. You have to write "Australian Shareholders Association" in full for the proxy to be counted/valid.
Don't forget that, if the proxy you have nominated will not attend the meeting, then the Chairman will assume the power to cast those proxies, and by Law, he has to vote as instructed on that proxy.
