I get UR point regarding wanting the share price to decrease becauuse U wish to buy shares believing that a share price will eventually climb...
The comments regarding divy being a capital gain and the majority owner re franking and paying tax in china doesnt make sense to be because..
The franking issue is only relavent if the divy is franked or unfranked each is treated differently....SBB has paid unfranked diviys...
China has a free trade agreement with Oz so the taxation issue would not result in a double dip..ie pay tax in OZ then pay tax again in china..
I dont get UR logic regarding the majority owner...the tax implications to him nor divy being treated at a capital return to shareholders...nor that payment of a divy would not make shareholders more wealthy...
I really focus on the cashflows and profits the rest look after themselves....it keeps it simple for me...
