Not quite sure want you are getting at here but if I'm reading you correctly one of RR's (Russell not Rivkin) comes to mind.
'You can be sure if you are right about the movement of a sector or stock it will ALWAYS take much longer than you predict'
I've lived through this one a few times myself and being a strategy based trader totally stuffed up some good money making opportunities. lol.
