The curve we have right now mostly reflects returning overseas travellers and their contacts. There was a spike and then reduction in these numbers. There's your curve.
.
The unknown curve, which I would suggest is the real curve, is community transmission.
.
The testing regime has excluded testing for community transmission. That is, if you have the symptoms but no overseas connection or contact with a confirmed case, you will NOT be tested.
.
I expect when this changes, the 'curve' will change, as it becomes closer to the real curve.
Flatten THAT!
.
The ongoing message, particularly in SA, has been that there's no evidence of community transmission.
Of course there isn't! You haven't been gathering it, ffs.
.
Social distancing and lockdowns aren't happening because there's no community transmission.
.
Let's wait for THE curve to emerge, then make our projections - optimistic or otherwise.

Yes, same in WA. They need to start testing more. Until then we are looking at a fabricated curve. Travellers Curve. Might be in for shock and horror once they started testing 1000s per day. It's almost as if the pollies live in denial and are afraid to address the problem with seriousness.
