The curve we have right now mostly reflects returning overseas travellers and their contacts. There was a spike and then reduction in these numbers. There's your curve.

The testing regime has excluded testing for community transmission. That is, if you have the symptoms but no overseas connection or contact with a confirmed case, you will NOT be tested.

I expect when this changes, the 'curve' will change, as it becomes closer to the real curve.

They should be able to ascertain community transmission if those reporting to hospital have no links to overseas travel .
Seems like Australia has flattened the curve , as if you are sick they will test you and the results will prove if you have the virus, recent tallies are consistently similar , hopefully they can eliminate it as NZ is trying to do .
