Hey chair, this may be oversimplifying so you may already be aware of this.
They are both flow batteries, of which there are many types according to the chemical composition of the electrolyte.
AVL is using Vanadium electrolyte whereas RFX are using a Zinc Bromide electrolyte.
You can google both and draw your own conclusions, heaps of articles.
From my research I feel Vanadium has the most potential and global support, which will result in greater uptake once the market is educated.
Market caps of $11million vs $230 million ?
AVL have one of the highest grade vanadium deposits globally, and are also selling the flow batteries and intend to manufacture the Vanadium electrolyte locally.
I'm assuming RFX has been plugging away for a lot longer than AVL, which is really still in its formative stages.
I'd like to see AVL with a similar market cap !!![]()
