What I see as being different is that we now have hard high level evidence of the products performance - yes we have had a large amount of 'clinical information' from many case studies and series (like the 10 000+ occasions of the technology used in patients of cardiocel)...and yes we have had the oportunity to sell our story at medical conferences........but the current trial is just that - a formalised clinical trial which provides robust results that the scientific world pays real attention to. thats the difference this time (in my opinion).
The next 6 - 12 months will hopefully see the results of the first formal trial of the new product (valve) announced, and published in the scientific literature. That will be the difference this time.
