Diatribe - first that is an ouch and I really feel for anyone that got hit that hard. I really hope that it comes back for you...
Just on a side line - I don't actually run a stop loss as in share price hit. I find that if a certain dollar figure is hit (usually around $600) - i leave. Where I have allowed myself to fall in love with a stock such as DLS and NEO - I tend to lose beyond this point in the belief that it will turn and buy something else to diversify and make back the lost $.
NCM is one such share that is attractive and always will be. I recall a friend selling his QBE when the 2001 fall came about - only to find that holding a solid blue chip was his best option. Ditto for BPC. It takes time, but the solid shares do come back. I also rarely average down. This has won me more times than lost me in my trading.
