Too right Vayama.. I was born in Sydney but have strong UK heritage and having lived in other countries can definitely agree with a lot of what you say. Cheap petrol, big houses, swimming at fantastic beaches with nice white sand not the pebbles you get elsewhere, clean air and sunshine... what more could you want?? Except a cold VB and some cheap high quality food.
Shame about the nationalist element but Mr. Rudd wants a "big australia" with more immigration so hopefully they can get used to it. Anyway, 99.9% of Australians are immigrants one way or another ;)
