Not all town water has the above, but most has creature manure and pesticides/chemicals (good and bad) from the rain/wind.

We all need trace elements, just not too much.

Then you have the scenario of putting in water tanks for drinking in the city or near major industry (agriculture and mining) in teh country. I wonder if any one of nounce has done a study on the particles that are present on the roof and are collected in the water tank after rain, even with a first flush system. Sorry for taking the thread on a tangent. Just thought it was worth pushing a barrow on.
