Thanks for the interesting link Denpal. I have also been annoyed at having our water chemically treated to fluoride without my or one's consent. The pros/cons of fluoridation is certainly controversial, and it seems because state or local governments "approve" of it, then it's safe for the public's consumption. From the general research I've conducted I'm not entirely convinced fluoridation is without risks (health-wise, that is). The link you provided Denpal is also certainly disturbing. From my personal observations, my niece has developed scalp skin problems once they commenced fluoridation of her city's water supply...just coincidental, I don't think so. There is quite a bit of evidence in the literature about skin hypersensitivity and allergies as result of fluoridation.

Personally, I have decided to err on the side of caution. My drinking water is nature-fed and free of chemicals (rainwater). Unfortunately not everyone has that luxury. I am strongly opposed to the fluoridation of our city waters as many of us are forced to use it in one form or another (ie. showering, washing, etc). The best approach for change is to lobby government to overturn the status quo on the management of our municipal drinking water. Otherwise look for suitable alternatives. Our family at this stage has decided on the latter.

There's plenty to read at: www.fluoridealert.org
