When looking at these figures it must be realized that the number of houses for rent in those small towns in North Queensland are very small.
These towns were little country towns with in some cases only a handful of rental hoses available and then came the mining boom and they need another hundred rentals overnight, so the figures go haywire
In Brisbane another 100 rentals being required would not even nudge the figures.
The higher rentals in Queensland are unsustainable due to the increasing number of people out of work and the lack of money in the government coffers.
