The beauty of sport is that the favourite doesn't always win. I'm too selective to be labelled a sport's tragic but I enjoy any contest played at it's highest levil.
I've seen the tiny rear engined Lotus Cosworths humble the mighty Offys at the Brickyard. Australia II sneak in and the wrest the America's Cup. I've seen Minis win Bathurst and Ric Charlesworth's ladies' hockey team set the bar so high all other nations had to go back to scratch to match them. Aus V NZ netball is very serious and better to watch than a something/nothing football game.
Here I must show my bias and say that RL State Of Origin is the most consistant, high quality contest I have ever watched and the latest was a very good game.
