We went and visited My Fathers mates Nephew and looked at His solar panels and converters and wind generator.
Solar panels cheap from China. Top quality inverters from Germany. Electricity meters from the local power company. Cheap wind generator from China.
The wind generator produces 5x the electricity of the solar panels. BUT the windmill has to be stopped in strong winds and doesnt work in no wind. Then it stopped working when the ball bearings wore out. He said the wind mill generators have trouble taking the stress loads.
The panels have a 20 year gaurantee of 85% capacity. Excess electricity initially got bought at 27 cents. Now down to 6.5 cents. Hrs got lead cadmium batterries but said theyre 2nd grade compared to Litjium batterries.
This in a little town called Hawera,South Taranaki,New Zealand.
His next plan is a heat sump with a positive pressure, insulated passive house.
This will be a bigger part of the market share in 2 to 4 years!
