But I can't find (on the internet) how to discover the total number of shares on issue. In this instance, for BHP.
Can anyone tell me where to go. But be nice.
SMH today expects BHP earnings to be
$13.80 billion 2006 and
$13.30 billion 2007. I'd like to divide these by the number of shares (NOS).
These estimates can then be compared to what CommSec web page is now estimating.
EPS PE EPS growth Sp.
2006 $2.32 12 80.6% $27.84
2007 $2.988 9.3 28.8% $27.79
While I'm told that a lower PE implies greater risk.
So, where's the upside for BHP in the next year? If the prediction estimated of BHP earnings growth of about 28.8% is swallowed by a PE going from 12 to 9.3 = -22.5%
