2006 actually: GFA bought a swag of CQT options which expired at the end of December, then converted and ALAKAZAM! (or should I say MERRY CHRISTMAS) filed a Substantial Shareholder Notice on 27/12/06 that they owned 14.5% of CQT!

For those who aren't corporate lawyers, YES, you have to file an SSN when you go over 5% of SHARES, but that rule doesn't apply to OPTIONS! So GFA's move was totally legal, even if you'd have to wonder whether the market was fully informed while they were assembling their CQTO option pile...
