I now prefer John Howards fridge magnet

When I first received John Howard's security fridge magnet
with the message be alert not alarmed I was sceptical that a
fridge magnet would suffice to keep Australians safe.

Well I now have to say that Howard’s innocuous fridge magnet
is definitely preferred over the stupid dopey decisions
of President Trump that will only incite further incidents
and probably achieve the opposite to making USA citizens safe.


John Howards' simple message ‘be alert not alarmed” is a much
calmer less provocative call than Trumps poorly thought out
reactionary rhetoric and Orders, that punishes those who may
have done no wrong but are treated like criminals just because of
their religion or country of birth.

Security is a serious business and needs the diligent work of security
and intelligence agencies who go about their task in a non political
way. Security is always enhanced if all citizens regardless of religion
are treated equally with respect, as they are more likely to contribute
and co-operate with those charged with keeping the community safe.

Publicly, stirring up the pot and maligning all and sundry as does Trump
for some perceived personal political gain is imo a shameful act of bastardry.
