Punishment, DSH has no point of differentiation without its own homebrand if it sells just recognised brands like its competitors. If you truly believe you can reinvent this business with some fresh ideas then HC is not the place for such ideas, rather you should launch your own management team and talk to the receivers about buying some or all of the business.
Warranty regardless of price of goods is important IMO because if the business isn't around and nobody knows the true manufacturer then you really have no global protection unless your credit card provides for it in some cases.
Additionally, if DSH home brands was once a big % of sales and margin contribution as shareholders were led to believe then the business is even if worse position without them. However, a greater % of slow moving or dead stock is probably in the homebrand ranges.
