But I just found another tree half an hour ago. Funny how you can walk around and around and not see something. I hadn't seen this dead she oak as far as I remember (which isn't saying much).
It's a beauty. Again they can be different from one another. But this is a good one. Quite thick and has that grey moss or whatever it is all over it. When you get one like that it gives you good wood.
I'm enjoying this, having to find timber to keep the fire going. It's a primitive satisfaction.
