Agree with you that someone is delibretely trying to shake the weak hands out, take todays trading for example, the sp was driven down with mutiple small sell orders through out the day for units of 549, 537, 562, 778 etc.

ie if the last price was 38.5c, 549 units would be sold at 38c just to make a lower price and give it a bearish look. No doubt stops eventually got hit with this kind of pressure on the sp.

The VWAP ended up being 38.5c so its clear a few that sold out late in the day for 38c and 37.5c may have been influenced by these manipulating sell orders.
