    With all the gold majors.. Newmont, Anglo, Barrick, Placer recently hitting or near their yearly highs a bid for Newcrest could come at any time.
    it's really pushing up .. even when gold softens!
    the bidders would want to come before the full rerating due to Telfer coming on line early ( as speculated ~06/04) rather than towards the end of 04 as expected.
