In saying you take risks by selling, I think in some ways you have it around the wrong way.
To sell, you risk missing a golden opportunity, should it come to fruition.
But also by selling (at a price greater than you paid) you are locking in gains.
And I wouldn't begrudge anyone doing that along the road.
To each there own.
I sold 30% of my holding last month to hopefully buy more for the same $$$.
Maybe, maybe not.
If every football coach played the same strategy, footy would be bloody boring.
If we all invested the same, I'm not sure what we'd talk about on this forum.
