Took an omen bet in the last race at Caulfield last Saturday and backed a horse called "Happy Glen" - sucker for an omen bet. It was not a favourite, but it won and paid $9. "Snappy Tom" came 2nd, "Immortality" came 3rd and "Time Matters" came 4th. LOL

Anyway, onto the subject. I think (hope?)the recent capital raisings by the Australian banks might be a blessing in disguise for Centro. If one or more foreign banks want to pull out, which is alleged by "JBWere Goldman Sachs" (see today's AFR), the Aussie banks should be in a better position to fill the gap.

PS: I hold a lot of CER and some CNP so this might be wishful thinking. Hard to be objective when you knee deep in it.
