elroy, the way you feel the amount u drink,the dont know if ill turn into an alco are all normal for a person in your situation.just give it time.6 months and youll be finding other things to do.i cant dance you probable say,well go and learn.theres lots of dance schools out there,rocknroll, modern jive, latin, new vogue,&lots more.most are not expensive and ull meet lots of wonderfull poeple,especialy women.i started at 50 couldnt dance a step [some of my female friends say i still cant]! but thats the beauty of it we all have dancing as the common theem that makes it easy to socialise. just trying to help
