I think I've become a racist, page-38

Hubby and I were in Sydney and few years ago and wanted to go to a chinese restaurant. We asked the motel we were staying at the best place to go and they gave us the name of a good one it China town so we booked a couple of days in advance. When we got to the restaurant there was a line waiting to get in, everyone in that line where white people and if an asian they would make a point of getting a table for them. I spoke to the doorman and said that we had a booking he simply said we had to wait with everyone else. One of the locals heard me and told me it was normal practice for them to make white people wait regardless of bookings, so we left.

It was the most blatant and disgusting display of racism I have ever seen, yet people in Sydney put up with it. If an aussie restaurant did the same thing they would have gone to court over it.
