Noellyn -NL, and others -
have been reading your always sensible posts - and others of similar ilk from other posters. There is a plethora of others posting whom I have never seen before, many of them unecessarily negative.
Some of my personal observations about MPO, which I have now held for over two years. This is only my opinion:-
1. MPO has sound management in place, with solid backing from BHP former employee know-how.
2. MPO has too many contracts in place now not to succeed. They would have to sell off assets if they were "going bad" - (which they aren't, quite the reverse!) and which the market would have to be notified about anyway, should it happen - which it won't!
3. Book value is increasing substantially, yet stock unusually maintains current undervalued price, even though its contracts going forward are solid and increasing.
4. This stock is grossly undervalued at present. There is
not much market sentiment towards this stock for whatever reason - although this is showing signs of emerging - yet the company is very sound. The real value of this stock will dawn on the market - but this realisation is taking longer than expected.
In my opinion, hold your stock (or accumulate while you can) at these ridiculously undervalued levels).
Ride the waves, until the ship comes in - which it will do, but only given time. No one can be ultra sure what that time frame will be - but we all hope it is sooner rather than later. As sure as you panic and decide to sell- out will come THAT announcement.
And stop worring about the small up and down ticks -
(well, unless you're trading them!) These endless "I am worried - I need advice" posts get us nowhere. You either believe in this stock - or not - and if not, better to sell and look elsewhere for something which suits your particular needs and time frames better.
It can only be said once - without getting boring - this IS a GREAT stock, just bubbling away nicely on the stove like a good stew - you just have to be patient enough to wait for the eventual rewards.
It has never been regarded as an "overnight sensation" stock - but it will turn into a sensation of sorts - given time. But for the recent Sub-Prime dramas, and the still ever present volatitlity and uncertainty, it would still be in the 30's, or more.
(Remmber it was only at the early 10's in late February.)
Patience folks! Holders -you have indeed chosen well.
