The disruption to the Esperance port will persist for quite a period of time.
I remember driving through Raventhrope several times last year a few months apart. The shire was working on the new roundabout and building new road for heavy vehicle, it took more than 6 months to complete something that simple. When it rains, they don't work as hard, when it's too hot, they don't work and they don't work at night neither and leave the cone and just leave the speed limit sign on.

That Shire and the Esperance Shire are both pretty hopeless in making progress. Their quality of service and commitment to serve businesses and community are sub-third world standard. They also do not value productivity and earnings.

Even in Esperance, it took several months before they start patching pot hole in major road with fine gravel and took several more months to fill that with bitumen.

For those over east, capability of local council in Ravensthrope and the Goldfields region in WA are the Greece equivalent in EU. Just imagine them being x20 times less productive than Colin Barnett.

I don't have short position but as a long term GXY holder, I'm ready for an underperforming GXY and will accumulate in the near term before it rocket pass 70c.

The Maori drivers will just drive an extra day, round trip, give them an extra $500 and everyone is happy. In the scheme of things ....... ITS A NO Brainer!!

A risk analysis would have been done as part of Due Diligence for this site and they're going by the book now.

A $1B company and some rain will bring it down.?!? Now, thats funny!!!

Buy up today if u have cash.
