Also: agree re the raising kids in Perth (Canberra not so sure about - tried it for a few weeks there, and I just didn't like not being right on the coast or a major river - I think with fire danger now, I'd feel even more twitchy about it. Also, it's full of politicians.). An airplane pilot I used to know said he'd pretty much checked out every city on earth before he chose here to settle with the wife and family.
Overseas students will come back. Would think they'd start coming in from safe zones, early next year, once all the Aussies are back.
