It's strange but i've been there several times and never thought that. It should be the weekend destination of choice for Perth escapees but most of them head much further south.
There isn't any industry to speak of down here either but there are more jobs than people who need them and the place is booming.
If I was buying real estate then Mandurah would be on my radar because it has massive potential and would assume property there is cheap, relatively speaking?
