From Nov 21 they increased monthly fees by 30% from $6 to $7.95 ie from $72pa to $96pa. This for customers trapped in their loan !!; which is why regulators need to give these too clever ones a wake up call. Despite Gordon Gecko suggesting greed is good, this is evil.
This should have been a wake up call for those who thought the bnpl product was so clever. It's not.
Bnpl is no more than a credit facility in a pretty color that will appeal to the influenced generation, and for the most part is more expensive, for the operators (who dont have scale), suppliers and customers.
